Message to our mid-Atlantic and Northeastern region customers regarding roof loads

William Scotsman equipment is built to meet or exceed state codes in effect at the time of unit manufacture and these contemplate normal weather conditions for that area. Thus far this winter, certain mid-Atlantic and northeastern states have experienced unusually high levels of snowfall which may place strain on the roof of your unit(s).

Accumulated heavy snow loads may prevent natural roof drainage and block venting on flat roof structures. For this reason, we are recommending you take preventative actions. Please check the amount of snow or ice that may currently exist on the roof of your modular buildings. Given that weather reports are predicting additional snowfall in the next couple of days, it is even more critical that you remove any excessive accumulation.

Should you experience any issues, please report them immediately to the Williams Scotsman Service Department at 800.782.1500, press 2. In this event, be sure to keep occupants from entering potentially unsafe areas, protect important contents, and notify your property insurance carrier.
